MINECRAFT: Server Pro
Students design, create and manage their very own modded Minecraft servers to play with their friends.
- This course covers running servers, providing the knowledge for how to operate everything from a basic multiplayer setup, to a more complex, modified and customised Minecraft server!
- This course covers: installing and configuring plugins, administration level server commands, adding custom features to your Minecraft experience, as well as simply how to enjoy all this on a multiplayer server with all your friends!
- We explore real world servers, using Minecraft as a practical tool to understanding how a server would work on the internet. there’s more to a server than simply pressing a button.
- Cover advanced server side topics such as permission systems, as well as configuration overlaps.
- Challenging debugging exercises: students are presented with a faulty setup and are prompted to identify and fix any issues issues.
Class Details
Classes start at 9:30am to 4:00pm although we are open from 8:30am (we are not open before 8:30am) for early arrival and we close at 5:00pm for late pick up. At no extra charge.
Prerequisite
Students will need to have their own Minecraft Account.
They must bring their Minecraft account login details (username and password) to this class. Minecraft accounts may be purchased from www.minecraft.net. or at any EB Games store or Countdown supermarkets. which costs approximately NZD$33.00
BYOD
Windows or MacBook laptop suitable, charger required Tablet & Ipad not suitable. We also supply computers if you do not have a device.
